Britney Jean Spears

Britney Jean Spears was born the 2nd of December, 1981 in McComb, Mississippi & raised in Kentwood, Louisiana. Britney was a dancer when she was a kid and was a winner of numerous competitions in gymnastics. However, the most important thing was, Britney loved to sing. Britney was just 8 years old when the time came for her to join The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989), however, her young age led to her being rejected. This directed her to an off-Broadway show, "Ruthless", for an entire two-year run as the title character. When she was 11 years old she was back in the running for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) and she made it as a mouseketeer along with the stars of the present (Justin Timberlake as well as JC Chasez of *NSYNC and Ryan Gosling). In the late 90s, Britney was signed to Jive Recording Artist. Britney's debut album, "...Baby, was released in 1999. Britney also sold 9 million copies (as in July 1, 2001) of her follow-up album "Oops !...I Do It Again" released in May 2000. Britney was the daughter of Lynne Spears (and Jamie Spears) and has a big sister named Jamie Lynn Spears. At a very young age, Britney was always fixing to be a star with her idols including Madonna, Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston, the young Britney was constantly singing, no matter the other events going on around her. Britney auditioned to The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989-1994) on TV at age 8. But she was too young for the role. Instead, Britney, her mother and baby sister relocated to New York where she starred in a variety of TV adverts and an off-Broadway musical, "Ruthless", where she worked as an understudy to Natalie Portman. Two years later her love for dancing and music became her main focus. She auditioned for a second time to be on "Mickey Mouse" and was selected along with Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, and Justin Timberlake.
