Alison Doody

Alison Doody (born 11 November 1966) is an Irish model and actress. She made her debut in a feature film with a small part in Bond film A View to a Kill (1985) she went on to appear as a Nazi-sympathising archaeologist Elsa Schneider, in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). Siobhan was in A Prayer for the Dying, Charlotte in Taffin and Rebecca Flannery Major League II. A photographer approached Doody. Doody decided to take up modeling and subsequently an industry-related career in modelling. Doody strove to avoid glamour and nude roles, which was a principle she incorporated into her acting. In 1985, after being noticed by the directors who were casting the James Bond new film, Doody acted in a tiny part in Jenny Flex as in A View to a Kill. Doody was on John Willis Screen World Volume 2, as one 12 promising young actors for the year 1986. 38. Doody, at 18-years-old as she played the character of Doody in Bond, was and is still the youngest Bond gal to date. In 1987, Mickey Rourke starred in A Prayer for the Dying where she played IRA members Siobhan Doovan. Doody was a silent actress in a 1987 adaptation to The Secret Garden, playing Archibald Craven's dream wife Lilias. In a Jim Henson fantasy episode The Storyteller in 1988, Doody portrayed Sapsorrow alongside John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She played opposite Pierce Brosnan in the film Taffin (1988) prior to taking probably her most high-profile part ever as Austrian Nazi-sympathiser and archaeologist The Dr. Elsa Schneider in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in which she starred alongside Harrison Ford. Doody appeared alongside Sean Connery in the film, as Indy's dad. Doody starred alongside Jonathan Pryce as Hitler Diaries the British mini-series based on Hitler Diaries. Doody later moved to Hollywood. She played Flannery as Flannery in Major League II, opposite Charlie Sheen. Doody played a role in The 2004 British comedy The Actors. Michael Caine portrayed her at a ceremony in recognition of an award. She played alongside Patrick Swayze in a 2004 film adaptation for television to King Solomon's Mines and also appeared in a short film called Benjamin's Struggle (2005) a pamphlet about the Holocaust as well as in the British TV show Waking the Dead (in a two-part show known as. Doody filmed a role in the film of Danny Dyer, The Rapture. She guested in RTE's the medical thriller The Clinic. The project was later shelved. Pam Jefferson, the character she played in E4's comedy Beaver Falls during its first season of two years. She was a part of We Still Kill the Old Way, a 2014 film. She received the Almeria film award on 21 November 2018.
