Evan Rachel Wood

Evan Rachel Wood was born on the 7th of September, 1987 in Raleigh, North Carolina. Her father, Ira David Wood III is a theatre writer and actor, and her mother Sara Wood is an actress and acting coach. She is the daughter of Dana Wood, a musician, as well as Ira David Wood III, an actor. Evan as well as her brothers often performed at Theatre In The Park in Raleigh where her father founded and for which he is the executive director. When she was five, she was screened against Kirsten Dunst for the leading part in Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles (1994) after a long auditioning process. Acclaim was also awarded for her role as Stephanie (Mickey Rourke's ex-wife) in Darren Aronofsky's The Wrestler (2008). She is the daughter of Sara Wood and Ira David Wood III. Little sister to Ira David Wood IV and Dana Wood. She is a trained dancer. She is passionate about dancing, sing, rollblade, and ride horses. She holds a black belt at tae Kwon-Do. She's kept in touch with most of her Once and Again (1999), castmates: Mischa Barrton, Julia Whelan and Shane West.
