Big Time Rush
Big Time Rush is an American pop music
boy band formed in the year 2009. The group is made up of Kendall Schmidt and
James Maslow as well as Logan Henderson and Carlos PenaVega. They signed
initially with Nick Records in 2009. Then, Columbia Records transferred them to
their new label. The group appeared in Nickelodeon’s television show Big Time
Rush. The show aired from November 28th, 2009 until July 25 in 2013. The pilot
episode showcased the group's first single for promotion, "Big Time Rush".
The group released three studio albums: BTR in 2010 and Elevate (2011) and
24/Seven (2013). The group took an indefinite hiatus in the year 2014 which
lasted until 2021, when the group resumed live performances and released their
single "Call It Like I See It". Nickelodeon has signed Big Time Rush
to a recording deal in 2009, concurrently with the TV show Big Time Rush.
Nickelodeon collaborated with Columbia/Epic Label Group for production and
music that is original. For the show, their debut single, "Big Time Rush"
came out on November 29 on the 29th of November. Officially announced by
Nickelodeon in November 2009, the series was aired for the first time in the
Americas. It then debuted internationally. It premiered during a special
preview of the show. It is the current theme for the show's opening. Promo
singles like "City is Ours", "Any Kind of Guy" and more
were released in the course of the series. Big Time Rush also recorded the Play
song "Famous" and was written by the singer. The song was released to
iTunes on June 29th in 2010. The song's second, "Halfway There", was
released to iTunes following its premiere on the show. It quickly became the
first song to chart on the Billboard Hot 100. Due to sales on digital
platforms, it reached number 93. To celebrate their debut album, Big Time Rush
released "Till I Forget About You" on September 21st, 2010. On
October 11, 2010, the album, called BTR released to the general public. It
debuted at number three on the Billboard 200. It sold 67,000 copies its first
week.
