Anna Kendrick
Anna Kendrick was born in Portland,
Maine, to Janice (Cooke), an accountant, and William Kendrick, a teacher. Her
older brother is, Michael Cooke Kendrick, who has also performed. Anna Kendrick
is Scottish, Irish and English. Her stunning performance earned her the Drama
League and Theatre World Award.She was a lead performer in Cabaret's Kit Kat
Club at "Carnegie Hall Live" in Great Performances: My Favorite
Broadway: The Leading Ladies (1999) (TV). Also, she had the honor of working
with the director Scott Ellis and choreographer Susan Stroman at the New York
City Opera House with Jeremy Irons amongst many more famous actors, performing
the role of "Fredrika" in "A Little Night of Music".Anna
work-shopped "Jane Eyre" & "The Little Princess"
for Broadway and also starred in the film Camp (2003) with director Todd
Graff.Was nominated in 1998's Broadway Tony Award as Best Actress (Featured
role - Musical) for the musical "High Society." Following 1991's Tony
award winner Daisy Eagan, she was the second-youngest nominated. George Clooney
ridiculed her in the NYC Opera House along with Jeremy Irons and choreographer
Susan Stroman. She also appeared in "Jane Eyre" and "The Little
Princess" for Broadway. In 1998, Jason Reitman cast her in Up in the Air.
It was following her performance in Rocket Science (2007). The only actress
from the Twilight Saga to be nominated for an Oscar. In 2010, she was nominated
for her role as Natalie Keener, who played the role in the second and third
seasons of the series. She graduated from Deering High School in Portland,
Maine in 2003. London, where she was filming Into the Woods (2014). In
September 2013, she has the distinct privilege of appearing in three major
screen musicals : Into the Woods (2014).
